I totally fell in love with Björk’s first album.
At the time, I listened to Jean Michael Jarre. When I started high school, my brother teased me. What were your key musical and non musical influences when you started making music? When I was 10 I started using an Atari computer with Cubase. I have been making music for almost my whole life because I started so early. I quizzed him about where the Gonkyburg name came from, pop success in The Similou and how he got started in the world of computer game music. Joel Eriksson has made music for computer games such as Battlefield 1942 and films like 7 Millionaires. Joel teamed up with Erik from Plej to form The Similou and pop stardom beckoned with All This Love. The Moody Aow album followed on April Records and a single for DNM called Life In The Sun. Like his compatriot Quant, Jol’s first singles were released on Dot. Joel Eriksson chose Jol as his main pseudonym during the Gonkyburg era.
